Signs That Your Home May Be Infested with Pests

If you’ve ever been told that your home is infested with pests, then you understand the true meaning of a living nightmare. It’s common for a bug or two to find their way into your kitchen, but it’s not common for someone’s home to be entirely overrun with nasty little creatures. If you think that you may have a bit of a pest problem, make sure to keep reading.

Strange Noises

Pests may be tiny, but they are by no means quiet. Since these types of creatures are most active at night, this is the best time to listen for them. Once it’s dark out, put your ears to the walls. If you can hear scratching noises or the patter of tiny feet, then there’s a good chance that you have some creatures taking up residence in your home…rent free.

Droppings

If you have pests in your home, then they’re most certainly using your entire home as their private bathroom. If you begin to notice the following signs of droppings, make sure that you look for quality pest control in York immediately:

  • Mice, racoons, and rats leave extremely obvious droppings.
  • Cockroaches, and other smaller pests, leave droppings that look like coffee grounds

Having pests in your home is not only a nuisance, but it’s a sanitary issue, as well. If you notice either one of these signs, or you actually see a pest nest, then make sure you call for help as soon as possible.
